Hi! I’m Summer, Founder & President of Parker’s Way Foundation. After our son, affectionally known as P2 was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder in October 2019, I was inspired to do what I could to connect with other parents who were also navigating through an autism journey. Since then, I’ve had the honor of meeting and sharing the knowledge I’ve gained along the way with parents all across the country. I was amazed by the stories I heard from parents and the struggles our autistic children face in making friends. My husband Von and I were motivated by these stories and that of our own, to make a difference not only for our son’s life but the lives of so many other children living with autism.
With the launch of Parker’s Way Foundation, we want to use this platform as an avenue to share the things we’ve learned along this journey thus far, while impacting the community in a major way through activities and events that transcend ability. We want to cultivate social engagement opportunities that are sensitive to autistic children’s needs but also presents opportunities for them to foster meaningful friendships.
